The Story

How in the world did my cookie journey begin? My husband Shawn and I moved to Kelowna in October 2021 from Ontario. We fell in love with Kelowna when we were out here adjudicating dance competitions and decided to take the leap to move out to this beautiful city and community.

As a dance teacher and choreographer, I am a naturally creative person and I grew up baking all the time with my Mom. One Fall day, soon after moving to Kelowna, I got addicted to watching The Food Network's "Christmas Baking Championship - Sugar Cookie Edition"; one of those full-day specials!  What seemed like a little interest of me saying, "Custom cookies are so cool and I think I can do that", soon turned into friends and family encouraging me to make this into a small business. I am 100% self-taught, watching many videos, taking online courses and a lot of trial and error. Late November 2021, Kelowna Kookies was born and the rest is history! I continue to surprise those closest to me, and myself, with this hidden, unknown talent I didn't know existed until I moved here. I couldn't imagine my weeks without creating cookies for many special occasions and thankful to all of those who have supported me thus far!
